Carbolic Acid as Snake Repellent
It is suggested that snakes have extremely strong-smelling power in the world. Carbolic acid, as mentioned earlier, has a strong stringent, sweet smell that snakes can not tolerate for really long. Snakes have the ability to sense the presence of carbolic acid even from a distant place. Thus, snakes divert their routes wherever they sense or smell carbolic acid. It is also highly corrosive to the skin and snakes will die in minutes while coming in contact with it. Therefore, carbolic acid is used as snake repellent extensively in rural as well as urban areas.
