Description

This is a single equilateral glass prism that is 38x38x38mm, with each face measuring the same. It’s made of durable and highly polished acrylic, which makes it an excellent tool for optical experiments. Additionally, it can be used for photography lighting effects. When using a simple LED light from a smartphone, the prism will create a beautiful rainbow effect even in room light.

To achieve this, the user must create a small slit on a black piece of paper and place it in front of the LED to create a light ray. The prism will then refract the white light and create a rainbow on a target away from the prism. Moving the target farther away will result in a bigger rainbow with more distinct colours. This prism is ideal for teaching optics or just having fun.
